Chemotherapy Manager has a pre-configured complete list of Chemo-therapy regimens for each tumor. The Physician can select one of these regimes, modify it if deemed necessary or create a customized regimen on the go. This module ensures a smooth, painless and correct ordering of chemotherapy by the Physicians and correct administration by the nurses. |

Chemotherapy Ordering by Physicians:
Physician has the choice to select the Chemotherapy regimens from any standard data source. Besides that Physicians can create a new regimen on the go or add/remove any drugs in a given regimen.
The drug dosage is automatically calculated based on the patient’s BSA or Serum Creatinine in accordance with the drug’s dosage calculation requirements. If desired the Physician can modify the auto-calculated dosage.
The reduction of dosages when desired can be achieved individually or by specifying a percentage for reduction for one or more drugs.
Chemotherapy Administration Documentation by Nurses:
Latest pertinent Lab Results entered in the EMR are displayed every time the nurse initiates an administration.
The drugs are mixed and delivered as ordered. The nurse can, based on patient condition and lab results after informing the physician can modify any dose on the go.
The charges for all services provided/ordered by the Chemo-nurses including drugs and their administrations or any billable procedures performed are captured accurately, automatically, and immediately for billing.
Besides capturing the actual drug delivered the system also captures the quantity of “wasted drug” and forwards this information to billing as such.
• The correct procedure codes for the “Administration of Chemotherapy” are automatically calculated based on the actual captured delivery time. |
